colleague's planner - nida

This is one of the happiness of working in education environment. You'll find friends and colleagues who fancy planners and stationery. Most of educators have good planning system, whether for lesson plan, research project, professional target, or simply personal thing ​and household thingy.

I went to my faculty's research centre this afternoon, and met my colleague, Nida, whose planner(s) took my attention.

The purple one is a simple pocket notebook from Maruman Septcouleur series (Japan mainsite). Inside her note, she made somekinda weekly layout, like the bullet journal thing. I was commenting about the brand, about the smooth paper, the colour, about the series, etc. However, her preference toward the notebook was merely because the colour. Purple. :)

She has also prepared for next year. The grey planner is the pocket Daichi weekly planner. I used to buy this (almost) every year. But I got dissapointed because they remove the lines since last year edition. I'd love to have lined pages.. even better in grids. Anyway, to Nida, this planner would help her a lot.

For her writing equipment, she mostly uses Rotring 0.3 and some sharpies.

It's always a pleasure see about what others have for planning. Thank you, Nida !

logbook

I decided to have a small notepad to be carried anywhere I go. Found this unused palm-sized notepad on my sis' room, and she said I could snatch it. Et voila, it becomes a logbook.

I take notes about everything I do every day. Meals I eat, money I spend (also note whether I use credit or debit card and what bank or paid in cash), things I see, name of person, things to do, email or phone number needs to be contacted, reminder, homeworks, chores, etc. 

I believe it helps me to remember what I did or what I had on particular day. I'm not sure if you can call it a bujo (bullet journal).. I don't have a system at all for this book. It works like a brain dump. I just note anything that cross my mind. However, this logbook may not suitable for journaling (diary).. it's not meant to be THAT personal, if you know what I mean.

So far it kinda works for me.

Bagi sebagian besar penggemar ATK (Alat Tulis Kantor) dan pengamat stationery di Indonesia, pasti nggak asing dengan Schedule Check merek Daiichi ini. Schedule check ini sebenernya bisa dimanfaatkan jadi semacam kalender meja karena bentuknya yang ringkas (berukuran A5). Selain itu, juga praktis dibawa kemana-mana karena tipis, tidak seperti kalender meja biasa yang ada bagian bawah (tatakan) yang dilipat. Setelah bertahun-tahun layout dari schedule check begitu nyaman untuk digunakan, sekarang justru berubah. And I'm not happy with it. 

First of all, cover. Orientasinya berubah dari landscape ke portrait. Lalu soal warna. Selama ini, warna covernya bernuansa pastel.. pink, biru langit, hijau tosca.. udah bagus dooong. Eh tahun ini pilihannya lebih ke solid colours.. kuning gonjreng, merah tua, biru tua dan abu-abu. Saya pilih warna kuning biar lebih berdedikasi sama kampus.

Lanjut ke layout bagian dalam. Sebagaimana orientasi cover, maka bagian dalamnya pun berorientasi portrait. Hnnggggg.... I don't like it at all. Bentuk landscape sebenernya memudahkan untuk melihat satu bulan secara keseluruhan, tanpa harus membolak-balik halaman. Now you have to spread the page. Gosh.

Memang sih, dengan layout yang baru ini, ruang untuk menulis (kotak-kotaknya) jadi lebih luas. Selain itu, disesuaikan pula dengan kalender Indonesia, yaitu setiap pekan berawal dari hari Senin, bukan Minggu. Untuk hari Minggu, kolomnya berwarna pink, sehingga terlihat jelas. Tambahan lain, di sisi kiri juga masih ada ruang untuk menulis catatan (misalnya birthday reminder, weekly chores, etc.) seperti umumnya monthly plan yang ada di agenda-agenda lainnya.

Schedule check ini masih menggunakan kertas yang sama, bahannya seperti kertas buku gambar dan cukup tebal. Untuk tahun 2017 ini juga secara keseluruhan lebih tebal karena ada tambahan beberapa halaman dibandingkan dengan edisi sebelumnya. Ada beberapa lembar halaman bergaris untuk catatan, beberapa lembar lagi untuk contact list (catatan nomor telepon dan alamat) dengan kolom-kolom yang cukup bagus, dan satu lembar sticker. Honestly, bonus sticker ini jauh lebih baik dibanding tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Well, ada bagusnya juga.

I don't know why they decided to change the layout. Menurut saya, banyak orang yang selalu membeli schedule check ini karena layout-nya yang mirip kalender meja sehingga praktis. Sekarang sih nggak ada bedanya dengan agenda lain yang ada di pasaran. I hope they will change to the previous layout for next year's production. Atau setidaknya ada pilihan layout yang lama itu.. *sigh*

filofax fusion on duty

 
As promised (waaaayy..) earlier, I will share about how I use my filofax. To refresh the memory, I have this Filofax Fusion for sometime, but have had no idea to use it. Mostly because I don't quite like the 6-hole ring binder.. Anyway..

Here's my royal blue filofax fusion. I like the colour, I like the feel of the fabric, I like the design.. This type of filo really suits me. I can slide cards and small notes on its front cover pockets. So cool.

la rentrée

It's been a week of la rentrée universitaire or back to school days. As I have mentioned on my earlier post, this semester I return to college to continue my studies. It's been a hard week although it's just the beginning of it. First week and I feel so exhausted. I have full schedule from Monday to Friday. I am also tired because the long journey I have to spend everyday. From home to my faculty on the suburb where I work, then to the other faculty downtown where I have to study, then go back home which -again- on the other side of the city. Gosh, I need help from heaven. 

So, blog post might get slower. But  I try to post at least once every two weeks. Spoiler, I just ordered a new cover of Hobonichi 2017 (and some little things), so I gotta write about it here. Later. 

I may also share how I organize my study life for this semester. I don't know.. Perhaps my final stationery lineup? I finally bought another Kokuyo ring binder for my study notes. And I use filofax to note other-than-study-or-work-related things. I will try to take some pictures of the inserts I set up on my filofax fusion. Well, I finally use that huge planner. Oh, and I also use my Exacompta agenda scolaire, of course ;)

Anyway, this semester is gonna be a loooong journey for me. But I need to keep a positive mindset. Allez, courage !!

back to school 2015

Lebaran udah selesai. Bentar lagi udah waktunya kembali ke sekolah atau kuliah kan? Setiap hari kalo lewat depan Gramed Margonda Depok, pengennya mampir. Apalagi pas lihat ada signage Back to School gede banget dan tas Jansport berjejer warna warni. Tapi takut tergoda untuk beli ini itu, padahal duit tiris. Takut tiba-tiba kalap dengan alasan back to school. Padahal kan yaaa...

Kalo mau tau stationery apa yang musti disiapin, bisa dibaca di postingan persiapan kuliah ya. Nah, selain persiapan alat tulis, materi akademik juga musti disiapin dong. Kebiasaan anak sekarang adalah males nyatet. Seolah-olah pen and paper udah primitif. Semua dicatet di laptop, tablet atau handphone. Ada juga yang ngerekam ceramah dosennya di handphone. Well, bad news for those who gonna take my class.. No laptop or tablet on the table. Semua musti catat pakai kertas dan bolpen / pensil. Tulisannya jelek? Belajar! Emangnya waktu SD sekip, nggak diajarin nulis? Sebenernya di setiap kuliah bakal dibagikan handout materi kuliah juga. Jadi, cukup yang penting-penting aja yang dicatat. Trus, semua jadwal (katanyaaa..) udah dicatet di henpon. Tapi, tetep aja ada yang salah jadwal pas presentasi. Hadddeeeeuhhh.. (-_-")

Udah deh, gini aja. Let me give you this printable weekly planner. Semua dicatet di planner itu. Satu semester kan biasanya "cuma" 16 minggu, jadi gampang keep track-nya. Kalo di-print bolak balik, paling cuma 4 lembar. Planner ini berguna untuk reminder sekelompok ama siapa di kelas apa, presentasi sama siapa, kapan jadi pembahas, kapan jadwal bimbingan, kapan kerja kelompok, deadline tugas, dan sebagainya. Oiya, weekly planner ini juga bisa dipakai oleh rekan-rekan dosen juga lho. Apalagi yang tipe pelupa macam saya ini. Kalau ada saran untuk variasi atau revisi bentuk plenner ini, ditunggu komentarnya yaaa... Terima kasih.

Seingat saya, sejak dari SD, udah pasti ada yang namanya jadwal pelajaran, jadwal piket, dsb. Kalo udah gede, mustinya juga ada jadwal kuliah, jadwal ngajar, jadwal kerja, jadwal les, jadwal antar jemput gebetan.. apapun itu. Yang jelas, hidup akan lebih mudah dijalani kalau ada jadwal. Jaman sekarang bahkan lebih enak lagi; karena jadwal bisa diatur di google calendar, ditambahkan alarm pengingat, lalu sync di smartphone, pokoknya nggak ada alesan lagi deh sebenernya. Tapi, tetap aja kita sering berhadapan dengan males, lupa, capek, dll.

Sebagian orang - termasuk saya - masih ditambah dengan cara lama alias bentuk tercetak atau tertulis. Lalu ditempel di ring binder, di meja belajar, di lemari dapur, di pintu kamar, pintu kulkas, pintu kamar mandi.. biar selalu inget hehehehe. Let me share you the template.
