Aladdin insulated bowl -artist series collection

Say hi to my new bowl-to-go. This is aladdin insulated bowl with lid, artist series collection. The lid cover was designed by Amy Ruppel. Well, I personally like the colour.

I've been waiting to have this for quite some time. This particular design was actually from 2009 ! Well, I can't remember since when I have spotted this in local Ace Hardware. But it's currently on sale with special price. So I better grab it before it's too late.

Some highlights from this product include dishwasher safe (don't have one), easy-grip lid (okay..), no spills (good to know), cool-touch exterior (even with hot content? that's nice), and microwave safe (don't think I will do it anyway).

I'm a person who thinks the non-ceramic or non-glass ware shouldn't ever put into a microwave. The heat will detoriate the product or at least there'll be chemical reaction or some sort. Well, I have tried it once (using product from different brand), and the food smell funny.. plus a smell of burnt plastic. Perhaps I set the temp too high. Anyway, I better find a ceramic plate or bowl for microwave reheating.

Back to this Aladdin bowl. I will use it as a lunch box for salad or noodle soup. If I took a salad, I will need seperate mini container for the dressing. See ya after Ramadan.

stamp stamp stamp

Well, this is a latepost. I supposed to post this at the beginning of this year, in January. Pfft.. Sorry for rare posting lately. Pas trop motivée. Désolée. I'm also on a tight budget at the moment. So I don't buy things for months. Yup. So I will post things I already have, which I haven't share here. Let see..

Here are some stamps bought on the Made With Love store at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta.

On the left side, is Lawn Fawn clear stamps. This stamp is useful if you want to make your own calendar. Beside numbers, there are also some icons for weather. It's kinda cute, but very pricey. It costs around 250k rupiah (about 20 USD) here, while it costs USD 15 on the official website.

On the top right, there are three Panda rubber stamps. It costs about 14k each. They're not in their pristine condition though.. but well, they still work.

The set of three stamps are the Studio G clear stamps. I think it was value for money. They cost 65k for assorted of three stamps.

I haven't tested them. From my experience, I'm so lost with clear stamps. I just haven't found the right ink to use with. I mean, the ink which is affordable and good matte finish. I haven't mastered the right technique to chop stamp as well.. you know, the amount of ink, the right pressure, etc.

So hop, they were all went into my plastic container. See yuh.

scheduler 2017

I know it's already late. But better late than never. So, here goes my schedule check à la moi. I have the template from The Handmade Home (many many thanks for the generosity) and then I just add the simple cover which I designed myself.

For me, I like this a lot. It's slim, only 12 sheets of A5-sized paper, and I can see all of my schedule at a glance.

starbucks planner indonesia 2017

Say hello to my new Starbucks planner !! Yaaayyyy !!

Each year, Starbucks offers a yearly planner for their Starbucks card holder. Of course there's a catch (Terms and Condition applied). You have to collect 20 stars (points) within the period. Otherwise, there's a shortcut. When you add value (top-up) the card for Rp 1 million (about USD 75) in single transaction, you'll have it right away.

The last time I had Starbucks planner was 2014. This year's planner is quite bulky. A5 sized. Hard cover with gold pattern plastic sleeve. Off-white uncoated paper. Each month has different design theme. Mostly decorated with cofee-related stained watercolor. Nice.  There's monthly section and weekly section. The weekly layout is simple. The minus point for me is there's no ruled pages.

What I like from Starbucks Planner is the pouch. For this year, it's a dark brown leatherlike clutch. Classy. I like it a lot.

déménager

Moving out is giving me a headache. I did it recently at the office. I had to move out from my beloved cubicle. From une pièce bien éclairée --a place which has lots of natural lights as it's next to a window-- to a smaller room with no window to the outside. Well, at least this one has door and lock. So I can leave my things without worry. Oh, it's also quieter.. so I hope I can work in peace now.

This is actually my 4th move since 2008. Before that, I didn't have a desk in my campus. I moved to a cubicle next to my desk in 2009. Then I moved to other building in the early 2012. Then I moved to my lovely cubicle which also located in another building in late 2013. I thought I will stay in that place forever.. well, at least for a long period of time. So I have lots of books and stationery stashed in my desk. But apparently.. life changed. My cubicle will be occupied by another person so I have to leave. I now moved to a room belongs to my colleague. She has another position for about 4 years, so in the meantime, I can stay in her place. I just have to keep my personal things to minimum.Yay.

I'm not new to moving out. Je suis la reine du déménagement. I've got used to moving out.  Considering 4 moves in 8 years, I guess I'm not a newbie anymore.. I cleared my cubicle in just 2,5 hours. Alone. Well, I got help from one helper to drop off my things to the new desk. But that's it. I can't believe there were uncountable stationery in my desk. Now I'm tired. Photos will be added soon.

sharpie liquid pencil

I was over expecting when I bought this thing. For Rp 40 thousands (about 3 USD), I thought it should worth something. I've never heard  about liquid pencil or liquid graphite before, so it must be somewhat revolutionary. Well, it just didn't meet my expectation.

It feels just like ordinary ballpoint pen with uneven running ink. Yes, it's erasable using the special eraser on top of the pen. What's the difference with Pilot Frixion? Frixion is using special ink, while Sharpie uses liquid graphite.

one planner only

For planner enthusiast, new year means an excuse to have a new planner. Not one, not two, but five planners ! Really !

I might be one of them. For 2017, I already have two dated planers. Well actually three. Oh wait, I think four.. err, yeah right. FIVE.

Do I need all of them? How will I synchronize all the tasks, meetings, appointments, etc. within those planners? I don't know.

Honestly, one planner is enough. Seriously. You just have to find the right one for you. For now, I feel like dating five guys in one time. Eeeww.. gross. But bear with me, it's true, right? You might say, this planner for work, that planner for house related, this one for journaling, another one for art journaling.. Please. Do you have to do that? Actually, one planner is sufficient. One planner means you can jot your notes, dump your thoughts, note everything in just ONE place. No need to look for other planner or to sync them all the time. Have one, and bring it everywehere.

Now you'll say. Ring planners are too bulky and heavy.. but I like the flexibility of adding (or taking out) the sheet. So, ask yourself. Does it fit you? What particular sheets you need, that the other planner doesn't have? I will say, I have customized inserts that I designed myself to suits what I need. I will use my A5 ring planners (Filofax or Kikki K) for house related matters.

Let see.. pocket moleskine is suitable for me. It's small dan light enough. But sometimes I feel like I need more space to write. Oh really? How often does it occur to you? Anyway, for 2017, I have the Doraemon pocket weekly and I hope this planner stays by my side all the time.

What about hobonichi planner A6? It has enough space for journaling. It also have monthly calendar to note the task and appointment. And the paper is so thin so it's not really heavy. Hummm.. yeah, that might work. But I'm not sure if I have the possibility to have it with me all the time. For me, this planner is more suitable for journaling.

I also have the schedule check (previous post) which consist only monthly planner. I will use it to note work related task and leave it on my desk. The other one will be pocket agenda from the same manufacturer to note down the schedules of my pak boss.

So, back to the discussion. Do you think you can have only one planner for everything? I am thinking about it. As for now, I'll try my best to use all of my planners in 2017.
