starbucks planner indonesia 2017

Say hello to my new Starbucks planner !! Yaaayyyy !!

Each year, Starbucks offers a yearly planner for their Starbucks card holder. Of course there's a catch (Terms and Condition applied). You have to collect 20 stars (points) within the period. Otherwise, there's a shortcut. When you add value (top-up) the card for Rp 1 million (about USD 75) in single transaction, you'll have it right away.

The last time I had Starbucks planner was 2014. This year's planner is quite bulky. A5 sized. Hard cover with gold pattern plastic sleeve. Off-white uncoated paper. Each month has different design theme. Mostly decorated with cofee-related stained watercolor. Nice.  There's monthly section and weekly section. The weekly layout is simple. The minus point for me is there's no ruled pages.

What I like from Starbucks Planner is the pouch. For this year, it's a dark brown leatherlike clutch. Classy. I like it a lot.

déménager

Moving out is giving me a headache. I did it recently at the office. I had to move out from my beloved cubicle. From une pièce bien éclairée --a place which has lots of natural lights as it's next to a window-- to a smaller room with no window to the outside. Well, at least this one has door and lock. So I can leave my things without worry. Oh, it's also quieter.. so I hope I can work in peace now.

This is actually my 4th move since 2008. Before that, I didn't have a desk in my campus. I moved to a cubicle next to my desk in 2009. Then I moved to other building in the early 2012. Then I moved to my lovely cubicle which also located in another building in late 2013. I thought I will stay in that place forever.. well, at least for a long period of time. So I have lots of books and stationery stashed in my desk. But apparently.. life changed. My cubicle will be occupied by another person so I have to leave. I now moved to a room belongs to my colleague. She has another position for about 4 years, so in the meantime, I can stay in her place. I just have to keep my personal things to minimum.Yay.

I'm not new to moving out. Je suis la reine du déménagement. I've got used to moving out.  Considering 4 moves in 8 years, I guess I'm not a newbie anymore.. I cleared my cubicle in just 2,5 hours. Alone. Well, I got help from one helper to drop off my things to the new desk. But that's it. I can't believe there were uncountable stationery in my desk. Now I'm tired. Photos will be added soon.

sharpie liquid pencil

I was over expecting when I bought this thing. For Rp 40 thousands (about 3 USD), I thought it should worth something. I've never heard  about liquid pencil or liquid graphite before, so it must be somewhat revolutionary. Well, it just didn't meet my expectation.

It feels just like ordinary ballpoint pen with uneven running ink. Yes, it's erasable using the special eraser on top of the pen. What's the difference with Pilot Frixion? Frixion is using special ink, while Sharpie uses liquid graphite.

one planner only

For planner enthusiast, new year means an excuse to have a new planner. Not one, not two, but five planners ! Really !

I might be one of them. For 2017, I already have two dated planers. Well actually three. Oh wait, I think four.. err, yeah right. FIVE.

Do I need all of them? How will I synchronize all the tasks, meetings, appointments, etc. within those planners? I don't know.

Honestly, one planner is enough. Seriously. You just have to find the right one for you. For now, I feel like dating five guys in one time. Eeeww.. gross. But bear with me, it's true, right? You might say, this planner for work, that planner for house related, this one for journaling, another one for art journaling.. Please. Do you have to do that? Actually, one planner is sufficient. One planner means you can jot your notes, dump your thoughts, note everything in just ONE place. No need to look for other planner or to sync them all the time. Have one, and bring it everywehere.

Now you'll say. Ring planners are too bulky and heavy.. but I like the flexibility of adding (or taking out) the sheet. So, ask yourself. Does it fit you? What particular sheets you need, that the other planner doesn't have? I will say, I have customized inserts that I designed myself to suits what I need. I will use my A5 ring planners (Filofax or Kikki K) for house related matters.

Let see.. pocket moleskine is suitable for me. It's small dan light enough. But sometimes I feel like I need more space to write. Oh really? How often does it occur to you? Anyway, for 2017, I have the Doraemon pocket weekly and I hope this planner stays by my side all the time.

What about hobonichi planner A6? It has enough space for journaling. It also have monthly calendar to note the task and appointment. And the paper is so thin so it's not really heavy. Hummm.. yeah, that might work. But I'm not sure if I have the possibility to have it with me all the time. For me, this planner is more suitable for journaling.

I also have the schedule check (previous post) which consist only monthly planner. I will use it to note work related task and leave it on my desk. The other one will be pocket agenda from the same manufacturer to note down the schedules of my pak boss.

So, back to the discussion. Do you think you can have only one planner for everything? I am thinking about it. As for now, I'll try my best to use all of my planners in 2017.

daiichi schedule check 2017

And I'm not happy with it.

First of all, cover. Orientasinya berubah dari landscape ke portrait. Lalu soal warna.

cover daiichi schedule check 2016 and 2017

Lanjut ke layout bagian dalam. Sebagaimana orientasi cover, maka bagian dalamnya pun berorientasi portrait. Hnnggggg.... I don't like it at all. Now you have to spread the page. Gosh.

folded page layout - daiichi schedule check 2016 (left) vs 2017 (right)

spread page layout - daiichi schedule check 2017

I don't know why they decided to change the layout. I hope they will change to the previous layout for next year's production. *sigh*

pocket weekly moleskine - doraemon

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to...

pocket weekly moleskine - doraemon special edition !!

Wise man says, don't judge the book by its cover. It's true. I was judging the planner must be 'oh so cute' just like the cover. I was wrong. Totally wrong. There's no special thing inside. The page layout is just exactly the same like the ordinary moleskine weekly planner. Weekly dated page on the left side, and ruled note area on the right side. No quote, no sketch, not even a single picture of Doraemon on the pages. There's a kinda clipping of Doraemon comic on the back of the cover though.. but it's not THAT interesting.

I know it's part of my fault. I was in a hurry so I didn't bother to check inside the notebook. But I must say, I don't like the fact that there's no extras or bonus which came along with the notebook. You know, such as address book or tab notes or stickers like you can find on the pocket of ordinary moleskine. I paid way more expensive, for what? Just a picture of that cute Doraemon on the front cover? Next time I will buy the ordinary moleskine and just paste the picture of that blue space cat on the cover.

There. I will use this planner for my daily reminder (schedule, things to do, task, chores, etc.) as it's quite small, light, easy to carried or slipped into a pocket or a purse. So well, I gotta move on from this dissapointment. Perhaps I shall hack it to the max? Let's wait and see in 2017.

doodle tutorial book

Have you seen those cute decorated planners over the net? Some of them also include cute drawing or doodles which well illustrated their day-to-day life. You may also said, I'm not thaaat artsy bitsy person. I can't draw. Sooo.. it's not the end of the world, my friend. You can decorate your planner with magazine clipplings, washi tapes, or just add some colours.

Anyway, if you wan't to learn how to illustrate your diary or planner, I found these tutorial books in Kinokuniya (Plaza Senayan, Jakarta). My Pak Boss bought them for me as birthday present. Un cadeau !! Yaaaayyyy.. !! Sooo haaappppyy.. I actually have had another two books from the same author (Kamo) before.

I don't speak nor can read Japanese at all. However, I can learn many things from these books, as they provide a simple step-by-step guide on how to draw something. Not all steps though.. but mostly inspired me to draw things.

The price? The book on the left is Rp 241 thousands (about USD 18), and the right one is Rp 150 thousands (about USD 11.5)

2017 printables

Hey y'all..

It's December. For some of us, we're so excited with new planners and calendars thingy. Personally, I have bought some planners and will prepare a customized planner with inserts I designed myself (nothing fancy, mostly functional) and from free printables available online.

As for 2017 desk calendar, I haven't bought one. I think I will print from one of these links I found recently.

Scattered Squirrel - simple, clean, nicely designed full size calendar, start on Sunday. Originally from the US, so the paper size is "letter". You can print them on A4-sized paper though.

The Handmade Home - beautifully designed calendar and planner inserts. There are several patterns to choose, mostly in mild pastel colours. There are A4 and A5 size available. Many thanks!

Botanical Paperworks - three stylish calendars available. I'm not sure about the size, but I think it's in A4. I like the chalkboard design.

Imom - another cute calendar. Available to be downloaded per month in A4 size.

Sarah Titus - there are calendars for 2017 (two versions), 2018, and even 2019. Cute.

They're all beautifully designed and some of them also share other printables as well.. you know, such as contact list, meal plan, weekly planner, etc. And they're all FREE !! Well of course, you must respect their effort to prepare those printables by citing their works.

Go see for yourself and have a great day !

sommaire

To wrap this month, I should say some things here.

I recently revisited Toko Buku Sekawan in Solo city (central java). I finally managed to find 'cap kera' notebook. However, only a couple of types available. The shopkeeper lady said they're getting rare to find one. Well, I know there's nothing so special with this kinda notebook. But the smell of 'cap kera' note pad is what I like. It brings out memory of the old days.

I will also post about my planner preparation for 2017. So far I already had several planners, namely:
- Daichi spiral schedule check
- Daichi spiral mini weekly planner
- Hobonichi A6 planner teamed up with Ukrainian flower cover
- Pocket weekly Moleskine, Doraemon special edition
- Starbucks Indonesia bulky weekly planner (but very nice design and layout)
I don't think I will buy one (or more) again. But I'm gonna print the 2017 weekly inserts from philofaxy for my A5 Filofax Fusion.

So, how's your preparation for 2017? What kinda planner you usually use and/or will use in 2017?

hobonichi cover - iida umbrella shop 'scramble'

I've been wishing to have zippered Hobonichi cover. Though it may be useful to have an A5 to carry around my things, (but) I just want the zippered A6 to hold my hobo with all the needed stuff.

So, as Hobonichi launched its archive shop (a.k.a. last year's leftovers), I hurried up and get what I wanted.. The Iida Umbrella Shop's "Scramble". It said that people are queueing to get Iida umbrella, and this cover was made from the same material as the handmade umbrella. As I like umbrella so much, I just have to have it. The colour is also very fresh and happy. I hope it will bring  a bit more happiness in my life.

The inner lining color of this cover is bright yellow. Well I'm not a fan of yellow. But well, as my university is always associated with yellow, I think I can live with that. Overall, I like this cover. No regret at all. Yaayyy !!

To learn more about the cover, here's the link of Interview with Yoshihisa Iida (the owner of Iida Umbrella Shop) from the official Hobonichi site.

inserts for 2017

It's Novemberrrr... !! 2017 is just around the corner. Have you ready with your planner or agenda for next year? Do you have a new Filofax, or Kikki K, ECLP (Erin Condren Life Planner) or Hobonichi Techo?

Say, you prefer filofax or Kikki K.. there are many inserts available on the market. However, I like functional layout (Enhanced 5 line week in two pages) from Ray Blake on Philofaxy. There are many layouts available for downloaded for free here.

Let's prepare and gear up for the upcoming year !!

filofax fusion on duty

As promised (waaaayy..) earlier, I will share about how I use my filofax. To refresh the memory, I have this Filofax Fusion for sometime, but have had no idea to use it. Mostly because I don't quite like the 6-hole ring binder.. Anyway..

Here's my royal blue filofax fusion. I like the colour, I like the feel of the fabric, I like the design.. This type of filo really suits me. I can slide cards and small notes on its front cover pockets. So cool.

hobonichi paris - hong kong - jakarta

This year I consider myself as lucky for having a chance to travel to some places. And I took my hobo with me. Taking pictures in some landmarks are mainstream. I don't care. I'm talking about my hobo, and it deserves a chance for some memorable selfies.

First thing first. PARIIIISSS !! Oui, oui.. Been there for a week, juggling between task and personal things. I felt as if I went home. So I didn't manage to visit many touristic places. Anyway, Eiffel is still majestic, and on the last day --just few hours before leaving to the airport--  I ran to Trocadero just to have few shots of Eiffel with my hobonichi. Oh, there's Tokyo Tower postcard on the cover.. Quite similar, but I'm still a fan of  Eiffel.

Couple of months later, I went to a conference in HONG KONG !! It was my first time to Hong Kong. It was summer, very crowded, very tiring.. Pheeww.. To be honest, I didn't quite enjoying my time there. Besides, staionery are more expensive here than Japan. Many sellers or shops imported goods from Japan. But still, I bought some (err.. quite a lot though) stationery here. Anyway, I was lucky that the hotel had superbe harbour view.

Well.. back to Jakarta again. Nowadays it's quite gloomy here, downpour almost everyday. I like rain, though.. as long as it doesn't turn into flood. One thing I hate from the rainy season in Jakarta is the horrible traffic. Anyway, I can write the story of my city in my hobo. That way, it's gonna be less frustrating living in this city.

See ya in another journey. Different time, different place, different story. Ciao ciao !

hobonichi cover - sherbet

One of the hobonichi cover I've wanted so much for 2017 is Sherbet. I like the colour combination of light sky blue and pastel pink. Cute, eh?

I also bought the special Paris cover-on-cover, although the cover is equipped with the standard plastic cover-on-cover. I imagined how super nice it will be.

Well, let's see..

I don't know whether the light in my room was super pathetic or the colour is not as cute as I expected. The blue is not as light as I thought. The inside is rather peach or pale brick colour instead of pink.

So here's the picture I've taken just now. I may try to find good natural light within couple of days to get better picture. As for me, I'm not super excited with the real colour nor the combination with Paris cover-on-cover. Err.. but on this photo, it looks okay.

what's in my pencil case - 2nd time

My current pencil case is .. tadaaaah.. Nomadic PE-17 !!

This is one of coolest pencil case I ever knew. I have also the famous, best seller pencil case of Nomadic PE-09 --which I don't use--  as I'm gonna keep it until I have a spare to use.

I initially learned about this pencil case from JetPens website. Then, I search the internet about this product which only resulted to get me a headache. Don't believe me? Go to their official website and get lost. I mean, feeling totally lost.

Anyway, I bought them on Tokyu Hands in Tokyo. They were about 1,000 Yen each.

What I like about this pencil case :
1. It holds many MANY pens and pencils.. and other stuffs. As a student, I need to store all the essentials in one place. And... this pencil case is able to do that.
2. It's very sturdy, yet very light. The material seems to be strong enough to hold everything.
3. The colour is very nice.

I think I will also make a haul here. So here goes what inside my pencil case.

- washi tape samples
- pins (we call them peniti)
- page markers and square post-it notes
- a sachet of Optik Melawai wet tissue lens cleaner (for glasses)

hobonichi cover - ukrainian flowers

Yaaasssss... I finally have this special Hobonichi cover of Ukrainian Flowers !! It's made from fabric and has flower embroidery.. so pretty !!

As I said on my previous post, I had lost my chance to buy that cover from hobonichi website. It was sold out within 24 hours after its launch. Crazy. It said "restock is coming", but don't know when. And I hate if I loose my chance again.

So I began to look on ebay. It's almost twice the price. But at that time, that seemed my only chance. So well... I bought it. And now that I have it in my hand, I'm happy.

inside my bag - recently

It seems that I always have everything inside my bag. Especially for school, I almost bring everything I can pack into my bag. One addition inside my bag is called "paket minggat" or literally translated as "runaway pack" lol :D

This pack is useful when you need to freshen up for the next class, sleepover at a friend's place, stranded out of nowhere, waiting for hours during connection flight, etc. I'm not sure if it's TSA friendly, but the content are keep into minimum.

It's actually just a basic toiletries pouch. From the top left, a mini pouch in a shape of pink koi fish is to store 'girl thing'. The greeny yellow thing on the  top right is silicon tissue case from hobonichi. Moving to the second row from the left, is Vaseline petroleum jelly (for lip balm and skin dryness), almost empty body lotion tube, ear plugs, Garnier face wash, foldable hair brush. The last row from the left, the blue bottle spray is fabric freshener and softener. The next small bottle is L'Occitane eau de toilette, and then a foldable mirror, a mini bottle of liquid soap, Eskulin hand sanitizer (I like Pigglet), a small tube of Pepsodent toothpaste with a ziplock underneath, and a simple toothbrush (the one you get from a hotel).

These are basic neccessity which help you prepared no matter what situation may be.

PS. Picture shall be posted soon. is now available.

hobonichi 2017

The Hobonichi package 2017 has arrived in my place today !! Yyaaayyyy !!

To be honest, I will order some more later. This batch is just to secure some of the things I really like. I haven't bought any of the planner (english version) nor the techo (japanese version) as they're always ready stock. It's not the case for the cover. For instance, I really like the colour of this "sherbet" cover. Pale blue and pink.. aaww so cuuute. So I had to buy it now since it may run out of stock. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get the "ukrainian flower"..sold out under 24 hours since it was launched. Anyway, I don't know when it will be restocked. Hopefully better luck next time.

Well, these are what I bought for now..
- Techo cover "Sherbet" (plain plastic cover-on-cover included)
- Plastic cover-on-cover "Paris"
- Torinoha wood rubber stamps : expense tracker and boy-girl
- Plastic stencil/ruler (new design)
- Blue multipen (red-black-blue) Uni-ball

Actually, I might have that blue pen for free if I  buy a bundle of cover and planner. So why didn't I? Because I tried to avoid the excessive amount. We have to pay for custom for imported goods above US$50. This way, I don't have to pay for anything since they're all under US$50. Voila.

For you who'd like to browse (and buy) hobonichi, this is the link to the official website.
www.hobonichiplanner.com or http://www.1101.com/store/techo/en/

That's all for now. See ya.

la rentrée

It's been a week of la rentrée universitaire or back to school days. As I have mentioned on my earlier post, this semester I return to college to continue my studies. It's been a hard week although it's just the beginning of it. First week and I feel so exhausted. I have full schedule from Monday to Friday. I am also tired because the long journey I have to spend everyday. From home to my faculty on the suburb where I work, then to the other faculty downtown where I have to study, then go back home which -again- on the other side of the city. Gosh, I need help from heaven.

So, blog post might get slower. But  I try to post at least once every two weeks. Spoiler, I just ordered a new cover of Hobonichi 2017 (and some little things), so I gotta write about it here. Later.

I may also share how I organize my study life for this semester. I don't know.. Perhaps my final stationery lineup? I finally bought another Kokuyo ring binder for my study notes. And I use filofax to note other-than-study-or-work-related things. I will try to take some pictures of the inserts I set up on my filofax fusion. Well, I finally use that huge planner. Oh, and I also use my Exacompta agenda scolaire, of course ;)

Anyway, this semester is gonna be a loooong journey for me. But I need to keep a positive mindset. Allez, courage !!

toko buku sekawan

Heya there.. If you've been spying on my blog, you should've known that I liiiike to visit local bookshop or small stationery store. This time, I went to "Pusat Buku Sekawan" in Solo City (Surakarta), Central Java.

For sure it was pretty impressive for me.

So, these are what I've got.

I don't see these kind of books quite often in big bookstore. The left one is stenography book for shorthand exercise. Besides, the cover is pretty vintage.

The right one is books for music notation. But this one has also unique cover. The font makes a sudden throwback into the 80's or even 70's.

There are also some other interesting objects, such as buku tulis cap Kera. But I didn't manage to find it as I was in a hurry. My sis said she bought some on the other day. Perhaps I felt directed into notebook area when I saw a lifesize standing cardboard of Rio Haryanto for Kiky books ;) Agak nyesel nggak sempet selfie sama Rio..

R.A. Kartini no.4, Timuran, Solo. I will try to visit this place again next time. See ya.

persiapan kuliah diri sendiri

Sebentar lagi masa perkuliahan dimulai. Yap. Back to school. I'm quite nervous and excited at the same time. Mudah-mudahan masih sanggup mengikuti perkuliahan. Mudah2an otak masih nyampe. Mudah2an tenaga masih ada buat bolak-balik Depok-Salemba (plus hidup nomaden lagi, mungkin). Pfffttt.. bismillah.

However, the most interesting part of back to school is the stationery, of course! As for me, here goes the list...

- Sticky notes
Masih ada banyak banget. Kebanyakan sih memang 3M Post-it notes.

- File folder / File note A5

- Loose leaf
Ukuran A5 sesuai ukuran ring binder.

Multipen Bic 4-Color; Uniball 4&1 (4 colours and 1 mechanical pencil) 0.5 point; Frixion Ball Clicker 0.5 blue, black, and red; Uniball Jetstream warna pink dan ungu, dengan isi tinta masing-masing black and blue 0.38 point.

- Penghapus

- Highlighter
I don't really like to use highlighter. Usually I just underline the important words using ballpoint pens.

Satu halaman per hari, jadi cukup luas buat nyatet tugas2, janjian ngerjain tugas, dll. Mudah2an beneran bertahan selama satu tahun akademik.

- Recorder (perekam)
Kayaknya bakal butuh alat yang satu ini. Bukan kemudian mengandalkan rekaman kuliah aja..

Allez, couraaaage !!

agenda scolaire

My fondness to agenda scolaire is a subject to be discussed. Throughout the years, I always have the urge to buy one (or two, or three.. helas), but this agenda is more likely to be only available in France. The daily agenda of Quo Vadis may also available in several other countries, though. But even if it's available to be bought online, the shipping cost would be more expensive than the agenda itself.

When I had a chance to visit Paris last May, I managed to run to Quartier Latin area. So in a hurry, as it was nearly closing hours, I grab two planners from Gibert Joseph and another two from Gibert Jaune. Both Gibert Jaune and Gibert Joseph are the big bookstores on the area. Anyway, the agendas I finally bought are as follows..
- a pocket planner (Gibert Joseph store brand, made by Oberthur)
- an Exacompta Forum Winner planner (one day per page)
- a textagenda one day per page (Gibert Jaune store brand, made by Quo Vadis)
- a Moleskine Peanuts weekly notebook pocket (18 months limited edition)

I made my first encounter with "one day per page" agenda during my school years in Paris, back in 2003. At first, I thought it was too bulky to carry around. Besides, why would I need a whole page just for one day? I learned my classmates noted everything on their agenda. So I tried and developed the habit to write down everything, scribble here and there, jot down what's on my mind and noted all the meetings or rendez vous. The agenda has also became a place for brain dump and a not-so-secret diary. I have shared a short review about agenda scolaire few years ago here.

Let's move on. Another must-buy agenda for me is this pocket agenda made by Oberthur, licensed to Gibert Joseph bookstore. I really like the simple design and it's quite thin, light enough to be carried around on your pocket.. err, if you have big pocket actually. As for the page layout, it has a weekly spread on the left page and lined page like this.

I don't know why I bought those agendas while I already had planners for this ongoing year. Perhaps for the sake of nostalgia. Anyway, Hobonichi actually offers similar lineup. The A6 sized techo has one day per page layout and the Weekly has the same page layout to the pocket agenda. I have never bought the hobonichi weekly, as I always have more compact pocket weekly moleskine for the past few years. Ah yes, I think I will blog about the Peanut weekly moleskine later. See ya later then.

lesportsac everyday bag

Just a quick update that I finally bought this LeSportsac everyday bag. I bought it to replace the old one with merriment print that I like so much. This one is modern plaid print. I really like the colour and this print is quite classy. I can see myself having this bag on formal and casual occasion, including for school activities. Besides, this type of shoulder crossbody bag is called everyday bag. Yap, I like it a lot and I will have it for my everyday bag. See ya.

petit deco rush

Deco tape is a thin tape with pattern (decoration) on it. It looks like correction tape, it works like correction tape, but the tape is decorated instead of white. The well known brand is Deco Rush from Japan. Deco tape was quite hype among stationery enthusiast couple of years ago. I don't think they still are now.

Compared to washi tapes, deco tape is not something that can be shared. I mean, a roll of washi tape can be cut off into smaller length and shared within some of friends. The smaller (shorter) roll of washi is known as 'samples'. That way, you still have cute washi in cheaper way. This is not the case with deco tape. Although a deco tape may cost less than a roll of good quality washi, but it's still unusual to swap deco tape. In term of use, once you swipe the deco rush on paper, it stays. You can't pull it off or reposition it like washi.

So, the Deco Rush is getting scarce these days. There are Petit Deco Rush, though.. it's the smaller version of Deco Rush. This Petit Deco Rush is disposable thus non-refillable. I actually like the design of its body shape. But, there's no cap and it's not clickable like the regular Deco Rush. So well.. I bought a lot of Petit Deco Rush lately, but I haven't use them. I guess I'm more like a hoarder in this case.

bic ballpoint pen

I like this  Bic Cristal very much.
I like the way it looks. So simple, but recognizable from far away.
And I always like the blue ink. Medium point. Yes, this one.

But these days, it's getting difficult to find one in Indonesia.
I managed to bought some during my trip to Paris last May.
I haven't checked if it's available in nearby countries within South East Asia.
I think the distributor tend to offer the Bic Cristal Fine to Indonesian market.
I guess many Indonesian (or maybe most Asians) prefer fine (or extra fine!) point nib.

Anyway, I still have chance.
If I can't find the classic Cristal, I can use the Bic 4-Color instead.
Just make sure that the refill is in medium size.

Oh, and by the way, they're all Made in France ;)
 Eh Oui.

midori traveler's notebook

Last week, I had a chance to go to Hong Kong. It was for academic conference, but I managed to visit Log-On, a famous lifestyle and stationery store. I went crazy when I saw various Midori Traveler's Note items. I bought the Traveler's Notebook set. I get the black leather cover (passport size) because I'm very comfortable with this size. It's just a slightly smaller than A6, about the same with pocket moleskine. For me, the regular size of Traveler's Notebook is kinda strange. Anyway.. I also bought a plastic pocket, a the grid notebook refill, a set of rubber bands, a charm (Braniff logo) and some sticky notes. The passport size notebook cover cost me HK$ 300 (about Rp. 550K) and the refill note etc cost around HK$ 25 - 80 (around Rp. 50K - 150K). By the way, I also got my notebook personalized with my name embossed on the front cover. Nice.

french stationery

These are the things I bought when I went to Paris last May. I have posted these on my instagram. But I think I have some infos to share regarding these items. These things are quite familiar to French pupils or students, but not so known in Indonesia.

First of all, fountain pen set. I bought these things in Monoprix.

Next thing is a pencil pouch or trousse in French. Bukan sembarang tempat pensil. This is Asterix pencil pouch.. Aaaa.. !! I like the colour and the character. Sebenernya sih, yang jadi idola adalah Obelix hihihihi.. but Asterix is also my favorite. Belinya susah pula, musti di Parc Asterix. Ke tempat ini pun harus penuh perjuangan. Naik RER (urban train) dari Paris sampai CDG airport, lalu nyambung naik shuttle bus sekitar 30 menit. Anyway, harganya sekitar 10-15 euro. Agak mahal untuk tempat pensil biasa. Yaudah lah yaaa...

another moleskine template

Heya,

I just had this following tweet from moleskine timeline. I personally think it's soooo cool that it should be shared here.

bag wishlist

My wishlist I made at the beginning of 2014 has finally accomplished. The last item I acquired was the pink agenda de poche that I bought recently this year in Paris. Yep, what a hassle. Well I didn't go to Paris just to bought that cheap planner, though.. It was a coincidence that I managed to go there in (late) May, so the school year has over. That was the perfect time to get agenda scolaire and most of school supplies.

Anyway, now I have another wishlist. I believe for my birthday at the end of this year, I deserve a new bag. Obviously, as a birthday gift. What a lame excuse.

My preference is a tote bag. It's simple and not so expensive. So here goes the list.

As I've mentioned waaay earlier here, I dream to have le sac cabas of Vanessa Bruno. Apparently, there is zippered tote bag for the canvas bag. I spy on the medium size with zipper closure. So I guess it would be 'reasonable' to have one for about 150 euros. Besides, it's very classy.

Another kind of tote bag I want is the basic Longchamp's le pliage nylon. There are so many varieties, but I just want a simple large tote bag or medium handbag. The price might start from 1.7 million rupiah, for the basic nylon type. *sigh*.

I would also love to have another LeSportsac everygirl tote bag. I have one already, but it's a limited edition. So I need one that I can bring everyday or toss it without worry about wear and tear. This bag is -of course- cheaper than the previous two. Around one million rupiah for a durable tote, I think it's still acceptable.

I guess that's all for now. Let's see which one(s) I finally get ;)

hello july

Well,
I'm preparing myself to be a student (again). This time for higher degree. I hope everything will be okay. Anyway, it's now quite near-end of ramadan (fasting month), and I kinda need a mood booster.

So I just overspent on Pan Am series of Midori Traveler's Notebook. I know I'm late. Waay too late. I used to have a kinda defense mechanism that I won't need it at all. It's not my thing. It's not THAT cool. But apparently, after months and months away, I couldn't get it out of my mind. I went crazy to get almost all of the complete collection. The blue leather cover, the notebook refill, the stickers, and the pen.

Yes, I had to get it. So it's done. And I have no money left. How will I survive for this month? I don't know. I'm scared.

Well,
Let's see how will I be able to manage this blog again.
